The City of Salty Water

by Vahid Ziaei
Translated from Persian by Parvin Toluei

… This one at noon
And the lake,
Four steps and harmonized;

The silent confession's adverted to your fingers,
While I lost the chess over the shrine
The little girl decayed
Inside the brick.

The sun, in the midst of the hall,
Wants ecstasy of the hanging sofa …
Inside my fingers, stained
Four kisses, and harmonized
And the lake,
…This one at noon

The Palpitation

I'll not become a poet
So much
That instead of the heart
Beats in my body
The word!

Translated by: Parvin Toluei
From ''33 Erotic Poems" by Vahid Ziaei
